I love all things Halloween, and all things sewing, so when I saw this photo on pinterest of a stitched jack-o'-lantern I knew I had to give it a try this year. I started out by just gutting and carving the pumpkin like normal, with slanted eyes and a wide mouth. Then I used some twine I had and a large needle and got to work. The inspiration pumpkin looked like the creator had used mostly catch stitching, so i tried to do the same. There was a lot of wiggling and pulling and even some hammering to get the needle through, but overall it was easier than I'd anticipated! Now I feel like I should keep the sewing theme going for next year....
Any suggestions are welcome!
