3D Indiana Pillow Printable PDF Sewing Pattern
This pattern is great for intermediate sewers.
It is a perfect pattern for practice sewing a pillow gusset, while still being a very forgiving end product. No one is going to notice if the rivers edge of your state pillow is missing a little squiggle! These pillows also make a perfect (and quick) homemade gift for birthdays, weddings, and holidays! You can make a plain pillow, one with a heart, or one with a face and limbs.

Materials you need:
- 2/3 yds. of 60” wide fabric OR 1 and 2/3 yds. of a smaller width fabric OR if you are willing to have a pieced together gusset, you can get by with 1 yd. of any standard width fabric.
- 10 oz. of polyfil stuffing (300 grams)
- Thread
- 3”x3” scrap of fabric for a heart (8cm x 8cm)
- Two Safety Eyes
- 2 scraps of stabilizer or felt or vinyl to give the eyes extra support
- Embroidery Floss
- 1/4 yd. of fabric for the arms and legs

Want to use Upcycled or Scraps of Material?
- If you are using random fabric instead of buying new, you will need two 19”x 13” pieces (49cm x 33cm) and one 59”x 3” piece (150cm x 8cm) out of your main fabric
- 3”x3” scrap of fabric for a heart (8cm x 8cm)
- If you are using scraps for the arms and legs, you need four 14” x 1.5” pieces (36cm x 4cm) and two 4” x 3” pieces (11cm x 8cm) for feet
Tools you will need:
- Sewing Machine (or you can hand sew everything if you prefer. It is just much much slower)
- Needle
- Embroidery Needle
- Fabric Marker/Chalk
- Scissors (paper and fabric scissors)
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
- Clear Tape
- Pins
